You wouldn't dare say "Fine."
No, they know you too well.
Say "Fine as frog hair",
"I'm at the top of the world",
"Not that wonderful",
"I've had enough of it!",
"No good at all", or
"Nothing's going right",
Whichever it really is.
That's why they're there!

Grab two bikes and pedal off with youthful energy,
Dip into the same bowl of ice cream,
Hit their heads with a pillow just to hear "OOOOOO!"
Or just sit on the sofa and chat.
If you get old and fat, they won't care.

When there are people around, who comes to you first?
And what a welcome their company is!
Yet, if you have to say, "I'd like to be alone"
They'll give you an understanding smile.

When you have to go,
There's no polite "Okay".

"Hey, you're not supposed to do that!"

They give the very vitality of life:
Laughter and love.
