Wonders

Wonders

Wonders, wonders, wonders!
The world is so full of them!
Look at them all.
It is not possible to enjoy them all at once
Nor to name them all in a lifetime.
Think about these,
Then name some more!
As I have said, We'll never name them all.

The nose of an elephant, a deer, a rat, and a person,
The tongue of an ant-eater, a snake, a cat, and a dog,
The hands and feet of a monkey, a raccoon, a rabbit, a pig, and a walrus,
The shell of a box turtle, a pancake tortoise, a snail, a hermit crab, a scallop, and a conch,
The eggs of a bird, a snake, a frog, and a platypus,
The body of a fish, a dolphin, a cow, a frog, a worm, and an ant,
The tail of a dog, a horse, a oppossum, an alligator, and a lizard,
The skin and hair of a hamster, a person, a whale, a bird, a turtle, and a worm,
The way salamanders, goldfish, and horses breathe,
The way a bear, a kangaroo, a fly, a fish, and a seal move around,
The way a dog, a scorpion, and an oppossum carry their young,
And the difference in size between a Chihuahua and a Bullmastiff, a housecat and a cougar,
a bog turtle and a leatherback sea turtle, a Pygmy horse and a Clydesdale, or a hummingbird and an ostrich--
Who could have come up with such a variety?

Babies that are wonderfully made
though their diapers are a pain in the anatomy!
Horses, each with their own distinct personalities.
Dogs who return to their own vomit
  	yet win our hearts.
Flowers that do not know what they are
yet are beautiful and great in their own way.
12,000 varieties of apples,
  	how/why so many?

Clouds that can be dark with stormy power
  	or innocently interesting and ever-changing.
Sight, smell, sound, taste, and touch
   Who can create anything equal?
Colors, odors, tones, flavors, shapes, and textures--
the unimaginable variety of it all.

Air, water, light and the sun--
   What are they?
   Yet how essential!
Yes, how essential these inanimate things are
Both for animate and inanimate things to exist at all.
Computers--scraps of metal and electricity; nothing more.
  	yet what does it do!
   Yes, we made them,
   But who made that possible?
Thought--how we can use it!
How it learns, reasons and figures,
  	all in silence, when needed.
And what about the invisible gravity?
its astounding laws that no one can break.
   Who set it in motion?

Let us side with Him!
Let us call Him "Almighty"!
Let us say,
"We will do Your will as long as we remain upon the face of the Earth"
And prove what we say true to every last degree!
