Molasses Bread

   This is a highly nutritious bread. It goes well with coffee for breakfast, and I enjoy it for snacks too.


Molasses Bread

Ingredients:

Directions:

  1. Combine flour, baking powder, baking soda, caraway seeds, and salt.
  2. In a separate bowl, Beat egg.
  3. Add buttermilk or yogurt, oil, and molasses to the egg.
  4. Combine the two mixtures just until blended. Do not overstir.
  5. Put batter in a greased loaf pan.
  6. Bake at 350 degrees for 40 minutes or until a knife inserted into the center of the loaf comes out dry.
