Quick Whole Wheat Buttermilk Bread
This is a healthy bread that is very hearty. It is great as toast or on tuna/chicken salad sandwiches.
Whole Wheat Buttermilk Quick Bread
Ingredients:
- 2 cups King Arthur White Whole Wheat flour
- 1 cup all purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1 large egg
- 1-1/3 cups buttermilk
- 1/2 cup chopped pecans
Directions:
- Combine flours, salt, baking powder, sugar, and pecans.
- Stir in the remaining ingredients, mixing well.
- Place in a well buttered loaf pan and bake at 350 degrees for 35 minutes or until a knife inserted into the center of loaf comes out clean.
